Quick Tip:

Quick Tip

In other words:

Say ‘No’ To: Guessing, Confusion and InconsistenciesWhether you are starting a new business or already in business, make sure your potential customers know the name of your company and can identify it easily whether from your web address (URL), your e-mail address or the actual name itself. In other words, your URL should match the name of your company and your e-mail address should match both (meaning don’t use your free, non-business address as your business address!). All should be listed clearly on your business card, your e-mail signatures and any other print or online way you network and meet prospects and contacts.

Hope you are enjoying the summer. I just celebrated a birthday in a big way. It wasn’t a so-called ‘milestone’ birthday where my new age ends in a ‘5’ or a ‘0,’ but it was for me a big cause for celebration.

My wonderful husband, not the world’s most organized man, managed to organize an incredible party at our house with many great friends and family. We had a beautiful rain-free evening (we live in the tropics of South Florida), amazing company, great music and delicious food. It was one of the most fun nights of my life! And who cares if it wasn’t a “big” birthday – all of our days and celebrations are important and should be embraced as such. Why not? Life is short!

And you know what? The same philosophy should actually go for your business. Like the proverbial tree that falls in the forest, no one will know about your company’s accomplishments, new services or products, awards or great deals if you don’t tell them! There are so many quick, easy and effective ways to share your news and knowledge with your customers or prospects, from your website to article sites to your blog to your e-newsletter.

Just write it well and they will come. (This is not a suggestion to go crazy and share every bit of news, but it is a recommendation to open the lines of communication and to never assume that your customers and prospects have all the information they need – chances are they don’t.) Need any advice on your particular news, service or product? Share it with me and I’ll be happy to let you know what I think and how to best present it. Good luck and remember to find a cause to celebrate, both at home and in writing.

Yours In Success,

Allison

What’s inspiring us today…

There is no such thing as a 'self-made' man. We are made up of thousands of others. Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success.
