Recommends:

It Works!  This is the coolest, clearest and smallest (not much bigger than a 4 x 6 index card!) book you could ever find. And best of all, you can get it for a couple of dollars. Written nearly 100 years ago, it precedes The Secret, The Attractor Factor, Tony Robbins and all of these others that so many of us are devouring now. It’s simple, bare-bones and, in keeping with its name, yes, it does work! I don’t want to tell you much more – check it out for yourself. We bought a case of them and give them out to clients, colleagues and friends. Enjoy!

What's Your Commitment?

I’ve been thinking lately about the word “commitment.” (Full disclosure: Yes, I actually do have intense thoughts about words. What can I say?)

What does the word commitment mean to you? According to the dictionary I checked, it has a lot of meanings, including: a promise; obligation, engagement; involvement, a pledge to do. I hear this word and the ideas behind it thrown around a lot in business and beyond, as in personal relationships.

To me, a commitment is something you have promised and are determined to do, think and/or be NO MATTER WHAT. It may be that you will write your book by a certain date no matter what. Or that you will be home with your kids eating dinner together by a certain time no matter what. Or, that you will do whatever you can to make something – a business, a personal relationship, your reputation – the best it can be…no matter what.

What am I trying to say here? Commit to be committed. Everything in your life, from the professional to the personal to the physical, will benefit from your commitments. I know from personal experience, the more sure I am of what I am committed to, the more I am able to succeed in that given area. Uncertainty and waffling have very strong ripple effects! Of that, I am sure.

Yours In Success,
